    • Jason and Melinda - thanks for the great momento from the Lake Superior Circle Tour! (and the other item with the neat S2000 hang-tag)!

      • Hey, thanks Melinda. I know it had to be your idea because Jason isn't that clever(and he's a teetotaler). And besides, he doesn't drink.

            • Circle Tour Remembered

We spent some time on the North Shore of Minnesota today and visited one of the first stops along the great S2KCA circle tour.

The tunnels between two harbors and split rock were not as fun in the Odyssey as they were in the S2000,

              • You should PM Ted and tell him that you are in the area.

                He doesn't get many visitors.

Nice thing about taking the Odyssey is that Karen doesn't have to inspect any deer.

And she might even be allowed to consume liquids in the car that do not have to be clear!

We were here on a day trip from Wisconsin, on short notice.

I asked her if she wanted to drive up that road and see if I could take the turns fast enough to replicate the effect, but we decided a FWD van with all season tires might just end up in the ditch, or maybe the dog might get sick.

Thanks Ted, we are back to Wisconsin, but the trip today reminded us how much we love the North Shore. We are already trying to plan a return trip. Karen bought a book at Split Rock on area hiking trails and we recalled the Cascade hike we did with you and the others (such amazing sights just right off the highway about a mile as I recall), we also like the Gooseberry trail and there is another trail we did 15 years ago on our honeymoon, which is right by the split rock river (the trail starts and ends on either sides of a bridge on 61).

You are so lucky to live in such a wonderful and beautiful area!
