  • The Reptile Run 2014. Marion, VA to Fontana Village via The Snake (Rt 421)

    April 5 to April 8, 2014
Start 2014 and Spring off the right way. Once again in 2014, we'll be headquartered in Marion, VA and traveling from there across The Snake (Rt 421) to Fontana Village for Rockin' the Dragon 2014. The fun starts on Saturday, April 5th at the General Francis Marion Hotel (GFMH) in Marion, VA when we'll get together to start the week off with drives on Back of the Dragon. This is 32 miles of mountains, valleys and 275 curves. There are other drives planned for Monday as well. The special GFMH rate for the Reptile Run 2014 is $84 a night. On Tuesday, we'll leave Marion and head to The Snake. The Snake is 33 miles, 489 curves, two mountains and one valley. This road has some of the tightest curves I've ever seen and isn't for the faint of heart. Once through The Snake, we'll continue to Fontana Village, driving Hellbender (Rt 28). Rockin' the Dragon 2014 officially kicks off on Thursday, April 10. We look forward to seeing you there.

Damn Ken we are on top of things again. You sure are fast sir. Last year we started the Double Dragon 2013, on the road trip from Marion, Va to Fontana Dam, NC we found another the great road call The Snake. So this year we are calling the one The Reptile Run 2014. If you decide to attend this pre dragon meet you will have a great time. Good people, food and roads. Hope to see some old friends and meet more new ones. Post up people.

Truly jealous of this event. It seems like the ultimate week on the East Coast. Hopefully it keeps going for years to come and I can jump on it here in a couple years!

Some of the Metro NY S2000 owners are getting there late Saturday afternoon or evening. Sunday will be a day to just cruise around the area and take in the great scenery up there. Monday we will have more organized drives for everyone to enjoy. Hope to see you there. Later BD
