Mike - the civil service exam is every year.
usually in sept/october.

for most places in NJ you need to have an associates or bacholors now.

I took the test in October AND STILL have yet to hear offical results.

once you take the test, its valid for 2 years.

So as i was growing up i always wanted to be a cop. As i got older i was always getting in trouble so i thought becoming a cop was out of the question. Now that i am even older (27) I want to do more with my life than what i am doing now. I have decided to pursue my childhood dream of becoming a cop (if you can't beat them, join them). So my question for everyone is HOW DO I BECOME A COP!!!!! I know i need to take the civil service test but that is not until 2010. So what do i do for now? Other's have told me to do EMS work. Any suggestions are welcome. Please do not turn this into a cop bashing thread. Thanks in advance.
