I do believe they make aftermarket cases for the 360 to provide better cooling.
There is a voltage regulator on the GPU that over time loses contact with the heatsink. I took mine to a local computer shop and they took the heatsink off, cleaned the old paste, put new paste on.
$25.00 and 1 hour later I had a working 360 again .
Next time I'm on (which will probably be later tonight), I'll add you to my friends list.

im not big on the ol cod but i play lots o' halo! sn is korstix. had my xbox since the winter it came out. only crapped out about 2 months ago an gota repair on it works just right! its all about how you keep it and where, keep it layed down sideways on hardwood or glass, neeeever carpet or in a closed space.
