POSTING POLICY
Acceptable Use
You agree, through your use of the S2KCA forum, that you will not post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, racist, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violate any law. You agree, through your use of the S2KCA forum, not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or the S2000 Club of America (S2KCA).
The moderators and administrators of the S2KCA forum retain the right to edit, open, close, modify, move, or delete any threads or posts as needed, at their sole discretion.
Definitions
General Posting Guidelines
Flaming
Flaming and personal attacks will not be tolerated – Period. Derogatory, abusive, threatening, sarcastic, rude, or otherwise mean-spirited messages directed at members/users will be removed with a warning from the moderator staff. Repeated flaming will result in punishment up to and including a permanent ban, at the discretion of the Board of Directors and/or moderator staff. If you feel you are being flamed or attacked, report the post to the Moderator staff. Do not reply to the flame/attack.
Trolls
A member or guest who posts specifically to incite a negative response or create a fight. Trolls will not be tolerated and will be suspended and/or banned by the moderator staff.
Controversial Subjects
S2KCA does not permit controversial subjects to be posted. Controversial subjects include political commentary/debate, religion, current issues, and other topics which are deeply personal. Inappropriate threads will be locked and moved.
Spam and Chain Letters
Spamming and posting chain letters is not permitted. Spam threads will be deleted. Repeated spamming will result in punishment up to and including a permanent ban, at the discretion of the Board of Directors and/or moderator staff.
Linking to Other Forums
Forum Users are allowed to post links to informational postings on other car or general interest forums, provided the information being linked is in the general interest of club members and would not be in violation of our posting policy. Forum Users are not allowed to post links to for-profit companies or group buys. Verbatim quoting of informational postings on other car or general interest forums is not allowed.
Events and Track Days (5/2/23)
1) Current Paid members status is required to post any event.
2) A prominent notice in the first post that states: This is not an S2KCA sponsored/sanctioned event. This is an invitation to S2KCA members.” This notice must appear in the same or equal size of the largest font in the body and must occur in the first line in the body of the event The notice must not appear in the Subject or as part of a Signature Block
3) Violation of this notification rule will result in a warning to be given for the first posting. Subsequent postings of events which do not comply with the Posting Policy will be removed. Any violation of this requirement will result in revocation of posting of events or message privileges.
4) This rule is retroactive and includes both posted active and future events.
For Sale Guidelines
You must be a Forum Member (Forum Guest) for at least 30 days before a For Sale thread is allowed to be made. For sale threads must include a clear description of the item(s) for sale, asking price, and the seller's location. Any registered forum user can post Wanted to Buy threads. All F/S Threads will be approved by a Moderator of S2KCA. This is to be done within 12 hours of the request. The reason for this is to make sure the thread meets the criteria required to sell on S2KCA. Club Members may post links to ebay auctions, autotrader listings, etc. Forum Guests can not post 3rd party links in For Sale threads. Club Members may host group buys, provided the group buy is for the benefit of the club and the hoster does not have a financial stake in it. Forum Guests can not host group buys. Vendors and other for-profit entities may not advertise their company, site, or products without becoming an S2KCA Sponsor. S2KCA Sponsors have greater leeway in posting sales and group buys. If you wish to become an S2KCA Sponsor, please contact a member of the Board of Directors. Do not "bump" for sale threads. "Bump" or "TTT" posts in For Sale threads will be deleted. Caveat Emptor. S2KCA does not offer any protection for buyers or sellers who use the For Sale section.
Posts in Members Only Forums
While S2KCA does not own or take responsibility for any material posted by its members and guests, information posted in Members Only Forums is considered private club members' privileged information and should not be dispersed without consent from the original poster.
Signatures
Signatures should be appropriate for a public forum. No pictures which are unsuitable for a PG13/TV movie. No nudity, see-through clothing, or explicit images. Image files should not exceed 100 KB. Maximum vertical height of 300 pixels, including all pictures and text. All pictures should be hosted on s2kca or your own website (no 3rd-party image linking). Advertising for-profit entities which are not S2KCA sponsors is prohibited. Inappropriate signatures may be edited or removed by the Moderator staff.
Avatars
All Forum Users are allowed to have a personal avatar. Avatars are limited to 100x100 pixels and 15000 bytes (14.6Kb). Avatars should be appropriate for a public forum. No pictures which are unsuitable for a PG13/TV movie. No nudity, see-through clothing, or explicit images. Inappropriate avatars may be removed by the Moderator staff.

General Posting Guidelines
- Posts should be pertinent to the thread's topic.
- Posts should be written in coherent, proper English.
- Posts should not be written in all CAPS.
- New threads should be started in the proper forum.
- Thread titles should describe the content of the post.
- No cross posting will be allowed. Do not post the same information in multiple forums. Duplicate threads will be deleted.
- Information intended specifically for one person should be sent via the Private Message system. "Attn" threads should be of general interest.
- Threads can not be deleted by the Original Poster once additional Forum Uses have commented in the thread. New threads on the same topic will be deleted and/or merged to the original thread by the Moderators.
- No bashing vendors, shops, or other websites without just cause. S2KCA reserves the right to determine when just cause has been proven, so all complaints should be sent to our staff for evaluation. If you don't like it and haven't talked to our staff about it, don't post.
- All issues with members should be taken up by email or through the use of our pm system. If you like, you may contact a moderator or staff member to mediate.
- Our tech forums are here to answer important technical questions pertaining to the Honda S2000. The quality of the content is very important, thus questions lacking technical merit will either be deleted or moved.
- When replying to a thread in ANY of our tech forums, the poster should have at least one of the following: additional content pertaining to the subject, a related technical question. Replies with useless, unrelated comments or questions will be deleted.
- Street racing related threads are not permitted and will be deleted on sight. No questions asked. S2KCA does not tolerate nor condone illicit activities.
- No posting of copyrighted or proprietary information without consent. This includes service manuals, software, music, etc...
- If you choose to leave the forum please do not ask us to remove your posts. Your posts become the property of S2KCA once they have been posted. Should you wish to no longer be a member of this site, we will give your account a general nickname and delete all your personal information.
