    Bringing this forum back from the dead...

    ....let's do it. I need all you people's help please.

    Let's start getting Midwest events together....you don't need me to organize and market it. Get local events planned (be it restaurant gatherings, weekend drives, auto-x's, etc.), and draft up an executive summary.

    Email me or PM me the exec. summary. If I have any questions I will reply back to you, if I don't and the board agrees on going further, I'll send out SWAG and insurance information if needed.

    I also have an email listing for many, many MW owners that I can forward the announcements to for more advertising.

    Please, let's get the MW region of the S2KCA humming. Hopefully we can lead the club into enthusiastic activity to make the other regions envious.

    If you have any questions, please post them up here or PM me.

    I will do my best to answer you guys in a timely manner.

    I think we really need to make a strong effort to get all the guys in the s2ki midwest forum to come over here. I can't hardly stand the smell of that place any more.

        Keep in mind that this is in the member's only area...

        It may make sense to move the regional forums (minus this thread) to the public if there are indeed concerted efforts to get folks over to civilization...would be a good way to entice them to join the club...

        The only thing is that if the efforts fall short, it looks like there is little activity in the then public forums, which would work against us.

        So perhaps the best thing would be to start to get the word out, find out what kind of interest there is and take it from there.

          Greg...

          I've been meaning ot ask you about this for the past couple of days.

          All I know is that S2KCA better send me out a ton of S2KCA stickers, applications, "blank" membership packets (to hand out to those that become members), etc. before the Fresh Water Tour.

          I will do my best to get as many people to start using this site and become members....I think the MW region is ready for a change of venue. Many supporting members are tired of seeing their friends get bashed and treated rather harshly by the mods there.

            I'd prefer to see them sign up the normal way, actually...meaning, promote the club to these folks now, have them join and then get the membership package that way. Otherwise we run the risk of printing a bunch of these up, burning all the CD's, using decals (which I need more desperately), and all the other stickers, etc that may just go unused.

            So I suggest working with Joe King and promoting things that way. We are raffling off 2 memberships (I think it was 2) to attendees of the FWT, but I'd like to everyone going to take this opportunity to promote the club and have memberships increase b/c of it...

            Make sense? Or do you have other suggestions?

              I don't see making packets up as a waste. If some go unclaimed...they sit with the regional directors to give out as other members get signed up.

              This summer, I've really become much more active locally. I want to start having the members/enthusiasts start identifying with the leader of the group (be it me, or whoever the regional director is).

              Basically, I'm trying to get to the point of my recomendations weighing more than they do now. We'll talk tonight if you're free (I'll call you after class).

                I think most of us in Indy feel the same way. We are tired of the crap over there. We have found ourselves congregating in one or two threads at the other site. Other than the regional forum and the FS/WTB areas, we don't participate much. Let me talk to my locals and see how they feel about the situation.

                  Just to make sure that I'm clear in case you misunderstood...this, and the other regional forums, are only open the club members, not to those who have simply registered for the forums.

                  But like I said, we can move these to the public if the demand is there...

                    It's pretty clear Greg. GC and I have been conversing here openly for the fact that it is private to members only.

                    BTW, the demand is defintely there for the Chicago-group! But please don't make it public just yet. I'm working on strategy for announcement and "rules" to set up.

                                Your girlfriend was really nice! I couldnt believe she was wiping down the cars at the show! That totally blew me away!!! So I guess ring first is ok but s2k needs to be second!!!

                                  well if someone wants to order a full catolgue spoon build for their s2000 that would help me get closer to where i need to be $$$

                                      well, shes got her wrx thats brand new. oh well. but yes a speedwerx s2000 should done for ummmmmm "company reasons"
