  • Sierra Foothills Drive AND Wine tasting Amador county Sat May 5, 2018

    Please join me on a fun drive to a new winery, Sentivo Vineyards & Winery in Somerset ( Fairplay area ).

    The Route


    10 am -- We will meet up at Nugget Market 4500 Post St, El Dorado Hills. Grab a sandwich or two.


    10:30 leave for drive


    take a fun drive up Salmon Falls Road up to HWY 49, Wipe the drool off after a spirited drive.

    Now down HWY 49 to Coloma , most noted for being the site where James W. Marshall found gold in the Sierra Nevada foothills. Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park We will stop for a photo shoot and pit stop.


    Then off to Apple Hill, patio lunch at Lewis Grace Winery 2701 Carson Rd , pleasant view of the surrounding hills


    After lunch, twisty drive to Sentivo Vineyards, hang out for some desert wine, and Janet dessert. Drive ends here.


    Not too far are Shenandoah wineries if anyone wants to visit. OR Plymouth for a coffee before heading back to the barn.

    Plymouth has Amador Vintage Market -- deli
