Hurry if you want to buy Zaino locally in Austin

I just stopped by the Ausitn distributor for Zaino at his house and he told me that he is shutting down shop. I guess since Zaino is selling there products online now he doesn't want to continue with it anymore. Anyway, I bought my products from him today and it looked like he had about 3/4 to a case or so of each product still in stock. He said he won't be ordering anymore and once it's gone it's gone. So if you want to buy it locally now is your chance. His name is Doug and his phone numbers are (office--512-310-8174) and (cell--512-689-8360). His place is off of 620 east of Parmer Lane. Give him a call and he will look at your car and recommend what to buy. He ended up telling me that I only needed zfx,z2,z6, and z7. He said that I didn't need the z5 since my finish didn't have any swirl marks or anything in it. Anyway, I just thought I'd let the local folks in on this if anyone is planning on picking some up.

That blows...! Doug seemed like such a cool guy when I was talking with him. I think it's really sad for the independent dealers getting the squeeze like that. I guess it was inevitable, but it still sucks...

This would also explain why he isn't returning my calls/emails about S2KDays, too.

Chad, can you get in touch with the other distributor and see what they can do?

Sorry man, he was the "other" distributor. I talked to his wife Sandy who was also listed as a distributor not knowing that it was Doug's wife until I got there. He said he would be calling you and that the email address you are using must be wrong because he hasn't gotten any of yours or my emails. I forget what he said it was but either way he said he would be calling you soon to tell you he isn't going to be able to make it out. I think it would be cool if he at least let one of us take his remaining inventory out to the show and sell it to other members. It would work out for both parties. Who knows. Maybe you can ask him about doing something like that when you talk to him. It really sucks that that the little guys are getting ran out by their distributors. I just finished my first 4 coats of Zaino after stripping and claying and I will never go back to anything else. I guess I will have to resort to buying online when I run out now.
