  • Moving to Houston

    All,

I am moving to the Houston area and I was looking at Spring. Any suggestions on areas in Spring to live in? I'm coming from a fairly small town (Fayetteville, AR), so the move is a little daunting. Thanks.

what are you looking for? apartment, condo or house?
      Where will you be working?

Cammie & I live in Spring, a 2000 sq/ft house will run about $155,000.00 give or take on where and how fancy. There are some really nice new apartment, just off of I-45 and Rayford Rd.

There are a lot of new homes in the area, so I would guess some deals.

Where will you be working? That should be one of your primary criteria when deciding where to live, given local traffic...

But welcome. Make sure you join us at one of our bi-monthly meetings to get acquainted.

Ulrich is right. Houston is a big place. It takes 45 min to an hour to get from one side to the other. Choosing a place within your commuting comfort level will help if you're not used to the traffic. Spring is nice, but pretty far up on the north side. The good news is that it's pretty close to Curt's.

Wherever you end up, welcome to Houston and Lone Star! We'll have a little party for you when you get here.
