  • Harris Hill, a few pics

I had the day off Friday and grabbed the camera and hit Harris Hill Road in San Marcos. Had a good time. Met Eric and he showed me some good photo locations, and places to stay away from. Got some good captures while I was there. Was really just trying to scout locations and get back into the swing of photographing race cars again. Hope you all enjoy. Feel free to visit the gallery and leave a comment. Thanks!

If Pete is fast that very well could be. That CR was cornering HARD.

Very nice pics Bill! I like the blurred effect.

3, 5, and 6 look great to me.

Given any thought to some different crops? I've found "long and low" works well for a lot of panned shots.

I'm willing to bet it's Roger Jackson, who is the fastest S2000 driver @ Harris Hill. The Cayman S is being driven by my friend Michael Hsu, who I very highly recommend if you ever need an architect. Nice pics, Bill!

Thanks! I love the blurred effect too, really shows the speed, the motion. Most of those pics were at either 1/320 or 1/160 shutter speeds. It takes a lot of practice to capture a fast moving object with shutter speeds that slow.

Agreed. It was nice to get out there and capture racing cars again. Its been too long since I've done that. Next time out I need to get more creative with my compositions.
