question about my s2k

  • question about my s2k

    my S is a 2003 and it was 83500 miles on it. in the past couple of day i have notice that my instrument cluster light are going dim and then bright and then dim and then bright but when i give it gas or im driving it bright the whole time. now today i notice that when i move my steering wheel it make a little humming noise. i don't know if its me cause im crazy like that but its bothering me now that my warranty is done. i know that the steering is electric i just want to know if it could be an alternator problem battery or something simple please help!

    Have you ever changed your sepentine belt? It could be slipping and causing your alternator to not charge properly. And how old is your battery and do the contacts need cleaning?

      He gives good advice. As a preliminary check, take a few minutes to stop at an Autozone or similar store to have your battery and alternator checked for free. You should be equipped with more information then.
