        • And so it begins... I just got my home owners insurance policy renewal. A whopping 20% increase versus the premium from last year.

          Auto insurance also did not decrease.

          • If you just got it, it probably doesn't reflect recent events. Next year could be really exciting. I suspect all of Texas will feel that, even those of us fortunate enough to be far from Harvey.

                • So given the activity level of this thread nobody may see this, but... I'm in the process of decluttering our house and getting rid of stuff. One of the things I've been doing for the last few years is to digitize my video library, which means I don't need my DVD collection anymore. Free to a good home, you just have to come and pick them up (maybe leave a case of beer if you feel generous). Storage boxes included.
