  • Mods Anyone?

I just completed my first mod on the GPW DD. I got a used CT engineering intake from a local member. I just finished installing it. It was finicky to say the least as far as installation goes. I like the look, the sound, and the throttle response. Overall I would say this is a better intake then the FIPK I have on the other car. Would I buy it again brand new? I'm not sure. For the money I expected a better fit and finish during installation. But with a few custom moddifications you can make it work. It has a deep growl and the throttle response on WOT is much improved. Not a simple install given the custom stuff you have to do to make the box fit properly. Overall it's worth it as a used intake. For owners with a stock car it's a solid improvement that's enjoyable.

I'm actually quite happy with the "mods" that I've done. If the CT intake was manufactured properly, I would expect a perfect fit - no custom fitting needed. Thanks for the write up. Well done.

        (I couldn't resist. Sorry.)

Can you post an installation video for that mod?

I know you're challenged at times so here you go.....

                Keyhole Covers
Simply, push the keyhole cover into the keyhole. After fully inserted, you can turn it slightly to the left or right to ensure it will stay in. To remove the keyhole over, insert a business card underneath the keyhole cover and pry it out. If your keyhole cover does not stay inside the keyhole or if the paint ever chips, please contact me and I will ship you a replacement.

Seriously, I met Jay (the keyhole cover guy) at HCII. Glad to see that he's still making/selling them. I suggested he post on the NSX forum and I think he got a few customers there, as well.
Oh, I also have this mod on both cars.
